I haven’t posted for a number of months, been busy sweating and being generally overwhelmed by the Florida Summer Heat, but have no fear! It is solidly Winter here now (i.e. it’s a balmy 79 right now…) and hope to get back to drawing and sharing my drawings ASAP. Until then, enjoy this recap of the First 13 in my Birds for Buddies series.
My first official Birds for Buddies drawing arrived at its final destination today, woohoooo! Technically, the mystery bird that started this thing is still on its way to Guam, hopefully it makes it over the ocean(s) in one piece…
The idea behind this exercise is simple; practice makes perfect. I’ve been interested in drawing for a while now, but projects that I do just for my own benefit tend to get abandoned or finished but left in a notebook somewhere, never to see the light of day. Projects for other people, however, go through to completion. And boy, do I have a lot of great requests in the queue!
Take a look at this one, let me know what you think, and look forward to more soon!
Herons are beautiful birds, until they turn towards you. And then they’re just weird.
Trying my hand at this “base sports” thing. From the bleachers. Behind a camera… More to come soon.
